Piscataway Roofing is a roofing contractor in Piscataway, NJ with more than 20 years of experience repairing, inspecting and replacing roofs. We work on the township’s ranches, split-levels and colonials, on townhouse and condominium buildings, on small apartment buildings and on commercial roofs, and on the gutters, chimneys and skylights that go with them.

Most of what we do starts with a homeowner who has a stain on the ceiling or a roof that is getting old and wants an honest opinion. Giving that opinion plainly, and backing it with photos, is the core of how we work.

Our Approach

A roofer setting up an extension ladder against the eave of a Piscataway Township house at the start of a job.

We diagnose before we price. Every leak call includes the attic as well as the roof, so we find where water actually gets in rather than guessing from where it shows up. If a roof can be repaired, we say so before replacement is ever discussed, and when replacement is the right answer, the photos make the case.

Our estimates are written so they can be checked. Tear-off, decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation and gutters each get their own line, so our numbers can be laid beside another contractor’s and compared item by item. If damaged decking turns up once the old roof is off, you see photos of each sheet before it is replaced, at a per-sheet price already set in the contract.

A new roof from us gets new step, counter and chimney flashing rather than old metal bent back into place, and the attic ventilation is checked so the roof is not aging from underneath. Gutters and leaders are sized and pitched with the roof, so the water it sheds leaves the house instead of soaking the foundation.

We also take care of the things around the roof that people remember. Contracts follow New Jersey’s home improvement rules, including the written three-business-day cancellation notice. In townhouse and condominium communities, we check the association’s documents for who holds the roof before writing a number. Homes with solar panels have the panel removal and reinstall planned into the schedule from the start, and the driveway, yard and gutters are cleaned at the end of every work day, magnet sweep for nails included.

For storms, we photograph and write up the damage for the owner’s own claim and meet the adjuster on site when asked. Sellers can get a written roof condition report to hand to the buyer’s inspector, and landlords renting to students and families get repairs scheduled around their tenants, with photos sent after each visit.
